"How do we get people to come to church?"
People in congregations want to build relational bridges between their church and their neighborhood but struggle with how to do it. What if we were to ask some different questions like:
"Who are our neighbors?" "What are their stories?" "What might God be trying to tell us through the stories of those who are not 'one of us'?"
What if people in congregations were to step out into the community, not to recruit people or to offer charity, but simply to learn to be with others without agenda and open to what the Spirit might already be doing ahead of them in the lives of people all around them?
The Spirit of God is already at work among women and men who are taking steps to join with what God is doing in their midst and they are experiencing God’s hope-filled future.
